Cyber Infrastructure Officethe former Infrastructure Team
The Cybersecurity Laboratory has established an infrastructure capability responsible for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of a large-scale in-house infrastructure supporting R&D activities. The laboratory operates more than 1,000 servers and network devices, including systems housed in its own containerized data center. Since the sixth mid-to-long-term plan, this capability has been reorganized as the Cyber Infrastructure Office (CIO), an independent unit responsible for the integrated design, construction, operation, and maintenance of R&D infrastructure across the Cybersecurity Research Institute.
The Cyber Infrastructure Office is responsible for the construction and operation of servers, storage systems, and network equipment; the maintenance and operation of facilities such as power supply, air conditioning, and cabling; the construction and operation of core services including DNS, DHCP, and virtualization platforms; the construction and operation of cloud environments; and the installation and configuration of security appliances. Through these activities, the office comprehensively supports and maintains the R&D infrastructure.
