MITSUHIRO UMIZAKI

He studied Earth and Planetary Sciences at Tokyo Institute of Technology (now Institute of Science Tokyo) and obtained a Master's degree from the Graduate School of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the same university. He then pursued doctoral studies in the Graduate Program in Interactive Symbiosphere Sciences at Yamagata University, where he earned a Doctor of Science (Ph.D.) in the field of astrophysics.
After completing his doctorate, he gained practical experience as an engineer at a company specializing in the development of measurement and monitoring systems for photovoltaic power generation. Subsequently, he joined the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) as a technical staff member, engaging in research and development activities in the field of photovoltaic power generation.
Leveraging the expertise acquired through these positions, he joined the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in April 2020. Currently serving as a Senior Research Engineer, he contributes to the research and development of the Cybersecurity Universal REpository (CURE). His work focuses particularly on developing highly reliable and high-performance system components using the Rust programming language and establishing advanced methodologies for threat intelligence analysis utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs).
